Based in Borlänge, Sweden, Dellner Brakes is a family-owned business that has been at the forefront of innovative brake design for more than 50 years. And, since 2016, we also have a dedicated operation in Finland.
We are able to supply a full system that includes the power source, the brake, friction materials and locking devices. But not only that, we can also provide industry standard, interchangeable spares and replacement parts for all wind turbines.
If you have an issue with your turbine brakes, our aim is to have you back up and running as quickly as possible. To that end, we provide fast delivery of brake pads, seals, hydraulic filters, screws and other spare parts through your dedicated contact person at Dellner Brakes, to keep downtime to a minimum.
Our team of engineers can also provide complete overhaul and refurbishment for your brakes and braking systems.
Noise free braking and gliding systems
Through our JHS product range, we offer lightweight, noise-free systems for braking and gliding processes in wind turbines. Noise reduction is a core focus for us, and we are fully committed to the development of advanced braking systems that increase the overall acceptance of this clean, green, sustainable energy source, by keeping noise and therefore any disturbance to an absolute minimum.
Our product range includes active yaw brakes that stop and hold the rotating nacelle in position and yaw sliding bearings that are simple, robust and virtually maintenance free. With these passive sliding bearings, brake torque is applied continuously and the system slides on the yaw bearing, so you don’t need an additional brake disc – fewer parts means less maintenance, and less downtime.
We make hydraulic rotor locks that fix the hub of a wind turbine so maintenance can be carried out in safety, and rotor brakes that slow, stop and hold the turbine’s rotors, including emergency stops. In line with our full system approach, we also provide hydraulic power units and advanced friction materials.
And, if you need to carry out any maintenance to your turbine’s brakes on site, we also have a range of service tools available that make it easier for your technicians to install, remove or retrofit passive and active azimuth systems.
